Spring

Spring
Every fragile beauty, every perfect forgotten sentence, you grieve their going away, but that is not how it is. Where they come from never goes dry. It is an always flowing spring.
— Rumi

A few weeks ago, not long, i was complaining to a friend about the rain and the dark, short days. I was blaming them for my sadness. I said to him that if only the sun would come out, i would be happy and surely see things differently. My friend took a silence and looked at me and simply said: "What are you saying? The sun is always there. It's just behind the clouds. But it's there. The joy is inside of you. Not in the clouds." Yes. Absolutely right.

Sure it's Spring, everybody feels lighter because the streets smell like flowers, the heavy coats are put away, the days are longer and brighter, and you do more stuff outside. It's a plus. It's true that the beauty, strength and joy are always with you.

But..that being said, we are part of nature. And nature is a full circle with changes in every season. In the Autumn the leafs fall, in the Spring the flowers bloom. In both season there is a rebirth, something dies to give space to others. I see it in my cat. His hair falls off in Autumn and Spring. If there is changes in nature it's only natural to occur changes in us.

What i'm saying is that it's ok to feel a little blue, or anxious at the beginning of these seasons. I love Autumn and Spring is definitely my favorite of all, but i know that at the beginning i feel changes in me. And that's ok. Some people feel this, others don't know what i'm talking about. I'm in the group feel-everything.

Just accept these feelings. Then.. let it go and let it bloom. :)

After all, Spring is the rebirth.

X, Sofia.
